Switzerland leads the chart
Once again, Switzerland has taken the first place in the annual Global Innovation Index 2024 by the World Intellectual Property Organization, comparing to the innovative performance of 133 countries. Switzerland has come top of the index for the 14th consecutive year, also driven by a strong biotechnology industry.
Additionally, Switzerland has secured the top spot in the World‘s Best Country rankings compiled by “U.S. News & World Report”, for the third time in a row and seventh time overall.

From November 7-10 the Global Science Film Festival presents full-length and short films in Basel, Bern, Lugano, and Zurich. The program includes film screenings, debates between scientists, filmmakers and the audience, as well as the awarding of film prizes. The films cover various topics that affect our society today: Climate change, sustainability, artificial intelligence, food production and social change.
