In July 2025, Switzerland took over the chair of the Eureka international funding program. In addition, Switzerland has been reassociated to Horizons since the beginning of this year. Third best result ever: Funding in the first half of 2025
CHF 1.5 billion for Swiss start-ups
CHF 1.47 billion in venture capital went to Swiss start-ups in the first half of 2025, the third best result ever. A small handful of high-flyers, in which international investors invested large sums, are responsible for these strong figures. For the majority of start-ups, the search for funding remains difficult. Swiss investors are also facing challenges and expect their situation to worsen further in the coming year, particularly in terms of their own fundraising and opportunities to sell companies.
