Swiss biotech funding hits new peak
According to the Swiss Venture Capital Report 2026, venture capital firms invested CHF 2.95 billion in Swiss startups. Biotech ventures attracted a record CHF 946.4 million, surpassing the previous peak in 2020. After three consecutive years of growth, the biotech sector continues to demonstrate strong momentum and remains a key driver of innovation and investment in Switzerland. A comprehensive update on the biotech industry will be presented in the Swiss Biotech Report 2026 at the Swiss Biotech Day in Basel in May.
