Ensure Nagoya Protocol compliance
The ABS (Access and Benefit-Sharing) Clearing-House is an online platform under the Nagoya Protocol that helps track the use of genetic resources - in short, it’s a central hub for legal and administrative transparency in accessing genetic resources. Your help is essential to improve the system and enable compliance with the Nagoya Protocol. Complete the survey by December 31, or contact the Convention on Biological Diversity directly.

Emerging technologies, such as blockchain, are being explored to enable transparent and decentralized knowledge exchange. The Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics will host Europe’s leading computational biology event in 2026. Over 1,000 scientists and researchers from across Europe will meet in Geneva from 31 August to 4 September to explore the latest advancements in genomics, transcriptomics, structural bioinformatics, systems biology, medicine and environmental bioinformatics.
